Topotree is built with privacy as a default, not an afterthought.
Nothing. Topotree reads the names and sizes of your files to draw the map. None of this data leaves your computer. There is no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, and no network calls during normal use.
When you activate a license key, Topotree makes a single network request to Gumroad's API to verify the key. This request includes only your license key. No file names, no disk contents, no personal information.
Topotree checks for updates on launch by requesting a JSON file from GitHub. This request includes no personal information beyond your IP address, which is standard for any HTTP request.
